August 1, 2024: The paper "Wavy Whiskers in Phocid Seals Exhibit High Signal-To-Noise in Sensing Hydrodynamic Flows," co-authored by Xingwen Zheng, Amar Kamat, Ming Cao, Michael Triantafyllou, and Ajay Kottapalli, was accepted by IEEE International Conference on Cyborg and Bionic Systems (IEEE CBS).
July 29, 2024: The paper "Octopus-Inspired Underwater Soft Robotic Gripper with Crawling and Swimming Capabilities," co-authored by Prof. Guangming Xie, Dr. Mingxin Wu, et al., was accepted by Science Partner Journal Research.
July 5, 2024: Xingwen Zheng was appointed Youth Editorial Board Member of Soft Science Journal.
April 28, 2024: Xingwen Zheng was appointed Youth Editorial Board Member of Advanced Bionics Journal.
April 25, 2024: The paper "A 3D-Printed Centimeter-Scale Pneumatically Actuated Robotic Manipulator for Micro-Manipulations. International Conference on Manipulation, Automation and Robotics at Small Scales (MARSS), 2024," co-authored by Xingwen Zheng and Professor Fumihito Arai from the University of Tokyo, was nominated the Best Application Paper by MARSS 2024. The winner will be announced in July 2024 at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
March 1, 2024: Xingwen Zheng joined the College of Control Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University as a ZJU-100 Young Professor.

Xingwen Zheng is a ZJU-100 Young Professor with the College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University (ZJU). Previously, he was a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) fellow with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the University of Tokyo, Japan (in micro-robotic manipulations, supervised by Professor Fumihito Arai). He completed Ph.D. programs at Peking University, China (in dynamics and control, supervised by Professor Guangming Xie) and the University of Groningen, The Netherlands (in biomimetic sensory systems, supervised by Professor Ming Cao and Professor Ajay Kottapalli). He received a B.E. degree in mechanical engineering and automation from Northeastern University, China.

His research interests include underwater robots, bio-inspired robots, biomimetic sensory systems, and robotic manipulations. He has published papers in journals such as IEEE Transactions on Robotics, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Science, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics (TMECH), and Soft Robotics, as well as conferences such as IROS, ICRA, MEMS, Transducers, etc. He has published two academic books. He has 10 authorized patents and has served as PIs in 3 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), etc. He was the recipient of the JSPS Fellow, Institute of Physics Publishing China Highly Cited Paper Award (2018-2020), Best Application Paper Award Nomination of MARSS 2024, Wiley China Open Science Author Award, Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad, National Scholarship, Peking University COE Top 10 Outstanding Doctoral Students Award, etc.

He served as an editorial board member for Advanced Bionics, Soft Science, Journal of Hydrodynamics, Frontiers in Robotics and AI, SES 2024, etc. He also served as a reviewer for leading journals and conferences in robotics and biomimetics research, including IEEE Transactions on Robotics, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics (TMECH), IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Science, Small, Advanced Intelligent Systems, IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, Journal of the Royal Society Interface, Bioinspiration & Biomimetics, International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), etc. He was selected for the TMECH Junior Reviewers Program. He won the IOP Outstanding Reviewer Awards 2023 (Bioinspiration & Biomimetics).

郑兴文,男,福建仙游人,现为浙江大学百人计划研究员、博士生导师,入选国家高层次青年人才计划。此前,在日本东京大学担任JSPS特别研究员(合作教授:Prof. Fumihito Arai 新井史人教授);在北京大学(导师:谢广明教授)、荷兰University of Groningen(导师:Prof. Ming Cao 曹明教授和Prof. Ajay Kottapalli)完成博士培养;在东北大学完成本科学习。曾在意大利国际理论物理研究中心ICTP、瑞典Uppsala University进行短期学术培训和课程学习。主要研究方向包括:仿生机器人、水下机器人、仿生传感系统等,从事机器人学、传感学、仿生学等领域的交叉研究。

主持国家自然科学基金委员会(NSFC)、日本学术振兴会(JSPS)等的科研基金3项;近五年,以第一/通讯作者发表论文于IEEE Transactions on Robotics(TRO)、Advanced Functional Materials(1篇入选期刊封面)、Advanced Science(3篇入选期刊封面或封底)、IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics(TMECH)、Soft Robotics等国际知名期刊以及IROS、ICRA、MEMS、TRANSDUCERS等机器人和传感器领域旗舰会议;出版中英文专著各一部;获授权专利10项;成果得到中央电视台CCTV、荷兰皇家工程师学会KIVI等的专题报道。获日本学术振兴会JSPS学者、荷兰高科技年度概览入选项目、英国物理学会中国高被引文章奖(2018-2020)、MARSS 2024最佳应用论文奖提名、意大利国际理论物理研究中心ICTP复杂系统学校评审团海报奖、北京大学学术创新奖、北京大学工学院博士生“学术十杰”等学术奖项;获国家优秀自费留学生奖学金、国家奖学金、辽宁省优秀毕业生、沈阳市优秀大学生、北京大学优秀毕业生、北京大学工学院院长奖学金一等奖等荣誉;参与IEEE、ASME、AAAS等国际学术组织;学术服务方面,入选Advanced Bionics、Soft Science、Journal of Hydrodynamics、Frontiers in Robotics and AI等期刊以及SES 2024会议的编委、青年编委或客座编辑;受邀在2024年中国自动化学会华东六省一市学术年会作大会报告、在2024年机器人领域顶会IEEE ICRA仿生机器人研讨会作专题报告、在2023年第八届国际仿生工程学术会议作邀请报告等;受邀担任IEEE TRO、IEEE-ASME TMECH、IEEE TII、IEEE TCybern、Advanced Functional Materials、Advanced Science、Small、Journal of the Royal Society Interface、IEEE RAL、IEEE IROS、IEEE ICRA等机器人和传感器领域知名期刊和会议的独立审稿人,入选IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics(TMECH)Junior Reviewers Program (TJRP) ,获英国物理学会IOP Outstanding Reviewer Awards 2023(Bioinspiration & Biomimetics)。
